Kho- Kho is a game played in 2 innings by 12 nominated players out of 15, on each side.
Initially 9 players start the game and 3 are kept reserve. One team becomes the chasers and the other the defenders or runners. In the game, the chaser pursues the runners; tags and touches them and makes them out. Each team has to chase and defend for 9 minutes twice in a match.
The Game of Kho-Kho is traditionally is an Indian game and is quite popular in the states of Maharastra and Karnataka. In the recent past it has become pan-India game. At Ad Astra School of School Kho-kho will be played at two venues one for girls and another for boys. This too will be further divided into various age groups for age appropriate competitions, which will be organized from time to time . The game of Kho-Kho increases the stamina , agility flexibility and power to take quick decision.
